According to Thai media, Coach Park Hang Seo is seeking to have forward Nguyen Xuan Son (Rafaelson) join Kanchanaburi Power FC.
Following the appointment of the South Korean strategist, the Thai club is planning to strengthen its squad in preparation for the new season. One of the targets is Nguyen Xuan Son, the naturalized striker of the Vietnam national team.

Xuan Son is of interest to the Thai club, but persuading Nam Dinh FC will be difficult
Coach Park Hang Seo is reportedly eager to reunite with the 1997-born striker, who has made a strong impression while playing for Nam Dinh FC and the Vietnam national team.
However, this deal is considered challenging to complete. Nguyen Xuan Son currently has a contract with Nam Dinh FC and is one of the club's most important players.
Additionally, both the transfer fee and the compensation package for this striker are reportedly quite high, forcing Kanchanaburi Power to carefully consider if they want to pursue the deal to the end.
Kanchanaburi Power is demonstrating significant ambition after appointing Coach Park Hang Seo. The Thai club wants to build a squad capable of competing in the new season, and the arrival of Nguyen Xuan Son is expected to elevate their attacking line.
On May 25, Kanchanaburi Power FC surprisingly announced the appointment of former Vietnam national team coach Park Hang Seo as the team's new manager.
Coach Park Hang Seo will initially lead Kanchanaburi Power FC in the 2026-2027 season, aiming to lay the foundation for youth player development and build the club's long-term system.
Furthermore, Park Hang Seo's biggest goal is to bring this team back to Thai League 1.

Coach Park Hang Seo is currently with the South Korean national team at the 2026 World Cup and will officially take over his coaching duties at Kanchanaburi Power FC starting in July.
According to Thai media, especially BallThai and Thai League monitoring channels, Kanchanaburi Power has undergone a large-scale "reshuffling," signing around 25 new players to prepare for the new season under Coach Park Hang Seo.
Notable signings for this club include Andros Townsend (former England international, previously played for Tottenham and Everton), Aboubakar Kamara (former Fulham striker), Gerson Rodrigues (top scorer for the Luxembourg national team), Mehdi Tahrat (Algeria national team center-back, formerly with Troyes), Ewerton (Brazil), Alain Oyarzun (Spain), Ezequiel Aguero, Ryhan Stewart (Singapore international), and Chayapipat Supunpasuch, a former Port FC player who developed through the Braga and Estoril academies in Portugal.
Kanchanaburi's official website describes this as a "complete club reset following the Korean model, not only changing the coach but also restructuring the coaching staff, youth development system, and the playing squad."
