The 2026 National U21 Football Championship Qualifiers feature 17 teams, including those from professional and non-professional football clubs, training centers, and talent schools nationwide. The teams are: An Giang, Cong An Ha Noi, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Dong Nai, Ha Noi, Ha Noi Bulls, LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai, Mekong Can Tho, PVF, PVF-CAND, SHB Da Nang, Song Lam Nghe An, Tay Ninh, Ho Chi Minh City, The Cong Viettel, Tre Phu Dong, and Gia Lai Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center.

The 17 teams are divided into four groups. Group A will compete at the Viettel Football Training Center (Hanoi), consisting of four teams: Ha Noi, Ha Noi Bulls, PVF, and The Cong Viettel.

Group B will play at the PVF Youth Football Training Center (Hung Yen), with five teams: Cong An Ha Noi, Dong A Thanh Hoa, Song Lam Nghe An, Tre Phu Dong, and PVF-CAND.

Group C will take place at the Thanh Long Sports Center (Ho Chi Minh City), featuring four teams: LPBank Hoang Anh Gia Lai, SHB Da Nang, Gia Lai Provincial Sports Training and Competition Center, and Ho Chi Minh City.

Group D will be held at the Dong Nai Sports Training and Competition Center and Binh Phuoc Stadium (Dong Nai), comprising four teams: An Giang, Mekong Can Tho, Tay Ninh, and Dong Nai.

In the qualifiers, each group will play a single round-robin to determine rankings. After the group stage, the four group winners, four runners-up, and the three best third-placed teams will advance to the finals.

In cases where groups have an unequal number of teams, when comparing the performances of third-placed teams, the organizing committee will exclude results from matches between the third-placed team and the last-placed team in larger groups, to ensure equal number of matches counted across groups.

According to tournament regulations, if the host team of the finals finishes among the top 11 teams in the qualifiers, the remaining spot will be awarded to the next best third-placed team.

The 2026 National U21 Football Championship Qualifiers will take place from June 25 to July 5, 2026. The finals are scheduled to be held from July 12 to 25.

The official match schedule for the 2026 National U21 Football Championship Qualifiers will be announced by the Vietnam Football Federation in the near future.
