Seven spots in the World Cup's 32-team lineup are already secured: four teams have clinched top positions, five have been eliminated early, and three with two consecutive losses still have a chance to advance

As of June 24 Beijing time, the second round of the World Cup group stage has concluded. After two rounds, seven teams have advanced one round early. They are:Mexico, the United States, Germany, Argentina, France, Norway, and Colombiaall of whom have secured two consecutive wins in the group stage.

Among these, Mexico, the United States, Germany, and Argentina have already secured first place in their groups one round early, and have determined their positions in the knockout stage.

Meanwhile, France, Norway, and Colombia, despite also having two wins, have yet to guarantee the top spot. France and Norway will face each other directly, and the winner will claim first place in their group. If the match ends in a draw, France will top Group I by virtue of a one-goal advantage in goal difference over Norway.

As for Colombia, they will face Portugal in the final round to compete for the top spot. A win or a draw will see Colombia finish ahead of Portugal and claim first place, but a loss would push them to second place behind Portugal.

In addition to the seven teams that have already booked their spots, five teams have been confirmed to exit the World Cup after the group stage, having lost both of their matches without earning a single point. Among these, two are from the CONCACAF region, and one each from Africa, Asia, and Europe.

It is worth noting thatIraq, Senegal, and Uzbekistandespite having two consecutive losses, still have theoretical chances of advancing.
