Becamex TP.HCM grants full professional authority to coach Gerard Albadalejo

The club Becamex TP.HCM has chosen to entrust head coach Gerard Albadalejo with complete professional control in its strategy for team development and season preparation, aiming for an early comeback to Vietnam's top football league.

This morning, July 6, coach Gerard Albadalejo held his first working session with the leadership of Becamex TP.HCM Club, along with representatives from departments including competition organization, media, facilities, and logistics.

During the meeting, the club's leadership expressed their determination to bring Becamex TP.HCM back to the highest division of Vietnamese football as soon as possible. The club also placed its trust in the professional competence, experience, management skills, and professional working methods of coach Gerard Albadalejo.

Both sides discussed in detail the training schedule, preparatory camps, friendly matches, squad preparation, and personnel direction for the upcoming season.

Notably, Becamex TP.HCM agreed to grant full decision-making authority in professional matters to coach Gerard Albadalejo. The Spanish manager will be entirely responsible for professional affairs and will directly build a coaching staff framework that aligns with his philosophy and working methods.

The composition of the coaching staff will be directly selected and proposed by coach Gerard Albadalejo. According to the club's announcement, no Vietnamese coach will join the coaching staff unless this is requested by the head coach. Becamex TP.HCM affirmed its respect for the professional decisions of the Spanish manager.

In addition to professional matters, the club's representatives also introduced coach Gerard Albadalejo to the work procedures, organizational structure, and coordination methods among departments. This is seen as a step to help the head coach quickly understand the operational system and begin his work at the club.

Coach Gerard Albadalejo also shared his working methods, professional criteria, and requirements in the process of building the team. The manager aims to foster cohesion between the club, coaching staff, players, and related departments, aligning everyone toward a common goal.

The motto chosen by coach Gerard Albadalejo as his guiding principle is: "One team, one dream. Together we are stronger."

According to the plan, in the coming days, coach Gerard Albadalejo and the coaching staff will meet the entire team, talk with key players, conduct health and medical checks, and officially begin training activities.
