Cristiano Ronaldo keeps astonishing his supporters by stepping into the world of cinema. The Portuguese icon is set to both serve as executive producer and appear personally in a large-scale TV series centered on English football.

Cristiano Ronaldo once again amazes fans by expanding his career beyond the pitch into the film industry. According to the British newspaper The Sun, the Portuguese superstar will join the TV series Day 1s as an executive producer, while also participating directly in acting within the project. This is seen as a bold new move by the former Manchester United striker after years of dominating the football world.

The series is set around Stanley Dalton, a fictional football agent played by Damian Lewis, the star of Homeland and Billions, who takes on the role. Filming has officially started at Barnet FC's ground in northwest London. Notably, industry insiders reveal that Ronaldo will not be the only football star involved, as Thierry Henry is also expected to appear in this project.

According to reports, Day 1s is likely to become a target of fierce competition among streaming platforms. A source stated: "The series is expected to trigger intense rivalry between streaming services to secure broadcasting rights." The same person also commented: "With the caliber of people behind the project and the quality cast, this is a very noteworthy production, even though Ronaldo moving into drama production will certainly surprise many."

The idea for the series was developed by Darren Dein, a real-life well-known football agent who currently represents Thierry Henry. According to sources, the growing popularity of English football after the World Cup is one of the reasons driving the project forward. An insider shared: "After the World Cup, international audience interest in English football—especially in the U.S.—has surged. This trend has been building over the years thanks to shows like Ted Lasso." And emphasized: "However, this is not a sitcom. It's a drama series with some comedic elements, backed by many big names."

Day 1s is produced by UR•Marv Studios, a new studio co-founded by Ronaldo alongside director Matthew Vaughn, famous for the Kingsman and Kick-Assfranchises. In addition to Damian Lewis, the project also features rapper Dave and young actress Carlotta Banat. Previously, Vaughn stated: "Cristiano has created stories on the pitch that I could never write. I look forward to making inspiring films with him."

For his part, Ronaldo shared: "This is an exciting new chapter for me as I pursue new projects." While still serving as Al-Nassr captain and boasting over a billion social media followers, the 41-year-old superstar is demonstrating his ambition to make an impact both on and off the football field.
