Liverpool wins narrowly in the US, 'Super Szoboszlai' continues to dominate headlines

A somewhat lucky moment helped Liverpool maintain their winning streak under coach Andoni Iraola, as the Hungarian star once again proved his special role.

With many key Liverpool players only returning after the World Cup, the Hungarian midfielder became the most experienced player in the starting lineup. Szoboszlai completed 64/67 passes, with an accuracy rate of over 95%. More importantly, those numbers reflect his ability to maintain the tempo and help Liverpool keep control in a relatively stalemate match.

The most notable moment for Liverpool before Ngumoha's goal also came from Szoboszlai's individual effort. The 25-year-old midfielder took the ball past Wrexham's first line of defense and almost created an opening goal. His performance continued to receive positive reviews after he had already scored in the 4-2 victory against Sunderland.

Two friendly matches are not enough to draw conclusions about Liverpool under Iraola. However, Szoboszlai is emerging as one of the players who have adapted fastest to the Spanish coach's demands of wide coverage, continuous pressing, and accelerating ball circulation.
