Coach Park Hang-seo explodes in fury, causing chaos during a match in Thailand

Coach Park Hang-seo became the center of attention when he erupted in anger after a collision between Kanchanaburi and Eastern SC players. The former Vietnam national team coach reacted violently, repeatedly causing his assistant and many coaching staff members to intervene to prevent the tension from escalating.

Coach Park Hang-seo unexpectedly became a hot topic on social media after his intense reaction during a match friendly pre-season match between Kanchanaburi Power and Eastern (Hong Kong, China) in Thailand. Watching his players repeatedly suffer tough challenges, the Korean strategist could not hide his anger, leaving the technical area multiple times to protest, making the atmosphere on the field extremely tense.

The incident that drew attention occurred late in the first half. After a hard tackle sent a Kanchanaburi player to the ground, players from both sides immediately rushed in to argue. As the situation quickly heated up, the referees had to intervene to prevent the conflict from escalating.

Standing on the sideline, Coach Park Hang-seo could barely keep his cool. The former Vietnam national team coach immediately left the technical area, approached the touchline with an angry expression, and repeatedly pointed at Eastern players to protest. He even attempted to step onto the field before being quickly held back by assistant Lee Jung-soo and several coaching staff members.

Coach Park's close assistant repeatedly pulled and persuaded him to return to the coaching area. Meanwhile, a member of Eastern's coaching staff also proactively approached, signaling for the Korean strategist to stay calm so the match could continue.

However, Coach Park's frustration did not end there. In the final minutes of the match, another Kanchanaburi player was fouled just outside the penalty area but did not receive the expected decision from the referee. Once again, the 68-year-old manager turned to the opposing technical area, raised both hands in confusion, then made a gesture as if blowing a whistle before shaking his head in disappointment to show his disagreement.

A video recording all of Coach Park Hang-seo's reactions quickly spread widely on social media platforms, attracting great attention from Southeast Asian football fans. Many opinions suggested that this image reminded them of the Park style familiar from his time leading the Vietnam national team and U23 Vietnam, always ready to react strongly to protect his players in situations he deemed unfair.

The fierce sideline manner has long been part of Coach Park Hang-seo's brand throughout his coaching career. Despite receiving numerous warnings from referees or organizers, the Korean strategist always prioritizes protecting his players whenever his team faces disadvantages.

After leaving the Vietnam national team in early 2023, Coach Park Hang-seo once served as Vice President of the Korea Football Association (KFA) before stepping down from that position. In early July this year, he officially signed a two-year contract with Kanchanaburi, tasked with leading the team to compete for a promotion spot to Thai League 1.

According to the plan, Kanchanaburi Power will begin their Thai League 2 season by hosting PT Satun on September 6. With his fierce personality still intact, Coach Park Hang-seo is expected to instill a strong fighting spirit in his players during their journey to achieve the promotion goal.
