The Vietnam national team finished their last rehearsal at My Dinh National Stadium, prepared for the clash with Singapore in the ASEAN Hyundai Cup 2026 at 8:00 PM on July 31.
At 4:45 PM on July 30, coach Kim Sang Sik and his players arrived at My Dinh National Stadium to begin their final training session, preparing for the match against Singapore in Group A of the 2026 ASEAN Cup.
The most recent time Vietnam played at My Dinh Stadium was a friendly match on September 10, 2024, where they lost 1-2 to Thailand.

After that period, My Dinh Stadium hosted events and underwent repairs, including a complete relaying of the pitch surface for the first time since its opening in 2002. Currently, the grass at My Dinh Stadium is assessed by the ASEAN Football Federation (AFF) as meeting international standards.
The Vietnam Football Federation (VFF) subsequently chose other local stadiums as home venues. The 2024 ASEAN Cup was held at Viet Tri Stadium in Phu Tho.
The final qualifying round for the 2027 Asian Cup was held at Binh Duong Stadium, Thong Nhat Stadium in Ho Chi Minh City, and Thien Truong Stadium in Ninh Binh.
Meanwhile, friendly matches took place at Hang Day Stadium in Hanoi, and most recently at Thai Nguyen Stadium, where Vietnam beat Myanmar 4-0 on July 18.
Vietnam won the ASEAN Cup in 2008, 2018, and 2024, with the 2008 and 2018 titles decided by the second leg of the final at My Dinh Stadium. From October 2025 onward, Vietnam has played 11 home matches, all at other stadiums apart from My Dinh.

At the pre-match press conference, head coach Kim Sang Sik said: "This is a very important match. We need a victory to continue our journey. Over the past few days, the whole team has recovered well and prepared thoroughly. I hope the fans will come to the stadium to cheer us on, giving the team extra motivation to achieve a good result."
Currently, the whole team is focused on the match against Singapore. After this match, the coaching staff will assess the players' recovery status and develop a preparation plan for the match against Indonesia.
"We entered the tournament with the task of defending the championship. I don't see it as pressure but as motivation for the team to play better. Every match is a final, especially home matches. We will enter the match with the highest determination."
