Phi Hoang made his V.League debut at the age of 17 and gradually became a pillar of the Han River team.

Nguyen Phi Hoang's farewell quickly received much attention from fans. Many SHB Da Nang supporters expressed regret as the team parted ways with a player who grew up from the club's own academy, while also sending wishes for him to succeed on his new journey.

Nguyen Phi Hoang was born in 2003 in Quang Tri and joined the SHB Da Nang youth training system in 2016. Just 4 years later, at the age of 17, he was promoted to the first team by coach Le Huynh Duc and became one of the youngest players to feature in the V.League at that time.

Phi Hoang was a key member of the U23 Vietnam team that won the 2025 ASEAN U23 Championship, the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games, and third place at the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup.

In the SHB Da Nang shirt, Phi Hoang gradually asserted his position thanks to his abundant physical foundation, his relentless activity along the wing and high-quality crosses. His energetic playing style earned him the nickname "running machine" on the left flank from fans, and he was always among the players with the best physical foundation in Vietnamese youth football.

Not only making his mark at the club level, Phi Hoang also regularly featured in the national youth teams. This midfielder was a key member of the U23 Vietnam team that won the 2025 ASEAN U23 Championship, the gold medal at the 33rd SEA Games, third place at the 2026 AFC U23 Asian Cup, and recently was called up by coach Dinh Hong Vinh to the list of 29 U23 Vietnam players for the ASIAD 2026 preparation. Previously, he also had his first call-up to the Vietnam national team during the training camp for the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers.
