Manchester United has officially secured a £20 million training kit sponsorship deal with Betway, making it one of the biggest commercial agreements in football history for training gear sponsorship.
According to sources at Old Trafford, this multi-year contract far exceeds any other training kit or sleeve logo sponsorship deals currently held by football clubs worldwide.
MU's management stated that the new revenue will play a crucial role in boosting investment in the first team, as the club strives to end its 13-year Premier League title drought.

After the most disappointing 2024-2025 season in 51 years, Manchester United faced significant challenges in finding new commercial partners. The club's previous training kit sponsor, Tezos, saw its contract expire at the end of that season, and the Red Devils went through the entire past season without a training kit sponsor.
Insiders reveal that MU deliberately waited for the right moment rather than rushing into a deal. The management believed that the team's return to the UEFA Champions League significantly boosted its commercial appeal, paving the way for the agreement with Betway.
Earlier, Adidas renewed its long-term contract with Manchester United in 2023, while Snapdragon extended its official shirt sponsorship for an additional year. Given that Premier League clubs have agreed to ban betting companies from appearing on the front of shirts from the 2025-2026 season onward, Betway's presence on the training kit is seen as a suitable solution for both parties.
DHL was MU's first training kit sponsor in 2011, before being replaced by Aon in 2013. Aon held this role for eight consecutive years and also sponsored the Carrington training center before ending the partnership in 2021.
Manchester United's Commercial Director, Marc Armstrong, said: "The scale of our new partnership with Betway reflects our growth strategy, the enduring strength of Manchester United's global brand, and our ability to attract world-leading brands. Betway is a renowned name in international sports, and we look forward to creating new opportunities together to bring fans closer to Manchester United."
