It was revealed that Yoro is expected to catch up with the Europa League final, and Amorim has set 9 starters! 3 major suspense to be revealed

When Manchester United centre-back Lenny Yoro left the pitch uncontested against West Ham United with an injury, manager Ruben Amorim on the sidelines slapped the red brick wall in front of the dugout! Losing is an acceptable result, but injury is the last thing the Reds want.

Yoro walked off the pitch with tears in his eyes, the injured part of his left foot, which appeared to be surgery. However, after the game, the 19-year-old French defender limped out of Old Trafford without protective gear or crutches. That's a slight edge over the last injured young centre-back, Eden Haven, who was injured with a protective boot and no crutches, and who was sidelined for more than two months before returning briefly and relapsing with an old injury that has left him training alone.

Amorim hinted after the game that Yoro's injury is fine and could be in time for the Europa League final against Tottenham on 22 May. However, the United boss has said similar things in the past, and as a result, the timeline for the player's return has been stretched indefinitely. Whether Yoro will be able to compete in the final season is yet to be determined.

Joro's availability will be a huge help to United's defence, with stats showing that 'Karen Mok' has been beaten by opponents just eight times this season, better than Ibrahima Konate (14), Cristian Romero (11), Saliba (10) and Virgil van Dijk (nine). Of course, due to a serious injury at the beginning of the season, he also played far less than these famous players. If Yoro is unavailable, Lindelof or Luke Shaw could take his place.

With only one week to go, Amorim doesn't have much time to decide on his starting XI for United's Europa League final. But he may not have much to choose from, and barring an injury like Yoro's, nine players are already set to be in the squad at Bilbao's San Mamés Stadium.

Goalkeeper Andre Onana, defenders Yoro, Harry Maguire, Mazraoui and Patrick Dolgu, midfielders Casemiro, Ugarte and Bruno Fernandes, and limited but only healthy centre-forward Hojlund are all but certain to start. Apart from Joro's availability, Amorim may face only two questions: whether Mazraoui will play as centre-back or wing-back, and who will be the last defender to play? Who should play first Garnacho or Amad Diallo?

Amad Diallo has been out for two and a half months due to injury and has fitness issues that would otherwise be the 10th-place conclusive starter. The 20-year-old has made the most appearances for United this season, making 55 appearances. The second leg of the Europa League semi-final against Athletic Bilbao was his 14th consecutive start. However, he wasted two solo shots before Ahmad came off the bench to turn the game around.

With Ahmad back in the picture, and Mason Mount finding form, Garnacho could be threatened even as his first-choice substitute. The 22-year-old can play at right wing-back and as a number 10, but given that the final opponent will be Tottenham, also from the Premier League, the €40 million winger is more likely to play up front. Mount has played in a Champions League final and was voted MVP, but the last time he played the full 90 minutes was in November 2023, which meant he would also be a substitute in a final for United.

In central midfield, Amorim still has a position to decide due to the absence of his Portuguese compatriot Diogu Darlow with a calf strain. Now, United may only be able to use Mazraoui at right wing-back, with Dolgu on the left. Then, the last position in the three central defenders is up in the balance. Lenny Yoro has been in excellent form of late, and Maguire, who has never started in any final for Manchester United, will finally get his way this time.

Lindelof was inconsistent over both legs against Bilbao and could be his final month at Manchester United, with his ability to play in the final not only up to him, but also injuries to Yoro and De Ligt. Amorim has long confirmed that the Dutch centre-back will miss West Ham United, meaning the €40 million centre-back will only have one game away from Chelsea on Friday to prove his fitness. FAT VIRTUE has started just twice over the past six weeks.

Demon Haven only resumed individual training last week, and he has only four starts in his career, playing just one full game. In the crucial final, it's hard to imagine Amorim betting on such a young player. Luke Shaw was another option, but he was mediocre against Bournemouth and Brentford, and he also gave away own goals to opponents, and the intensity of the Europa League final against Tottenham Hotspur was certainly greater than in the Premier League.

Mazraoui is one of only four United players who have played at least 50 games this season. Amorim said Morocco is currently lacking fitness, so he has been rested in the Premier League in a row. In that case, he could also play as a starting centre-back in the final, provided Darlow returns from injury and proves his fitness against Chelsea.

Club sources optimistically predict that Dalow will recover from a calf injury and make another appearance this season, having watched Manchester United's 4-1 win over Bilbao in the second leg of their Europa League semi-final at Old Trafford. If he doesn't make up for the start, Amorim could also play Amad at right wing-back and Garnacho on the left winger to play against Tottenham.

Predict Manchester United vs Tottenham Hotspur final starters: Onana/Mazraoui, Maguire, Yoro/Amad, Ugarte, Casemiro, Dolgu/B Fee, Hojlund, Garnacho.
