It was revealed that Bayern's 13-goal winger recommended himself to Manchester United and was willing to join for free! The 240,000 weekly salary may be rejected by Lajue

Everyone knew that Manchester United were looking to rebuild on a massive scale in the summer window, and the agent of a former Premier League player reached out to the INEOS management team to join the down-and-out Red Devils in the summer window. According to French transfer expert Santi Ona, Leroy Sane has offered himself to Manchester United and other European clubs after his agent's contract renewal talks with Bayern Munich failed.

Sane is an old Premier League acquaintance, having played for Manchester United's arch-rivals Manchester City, but that doesn't stop him from considering a move to his old club's neighbours, as long as the money is in place. The 29-year-old French winger's contract with Bayern Munich expires on 30 June, at which point he can regain his free agency and move to any club on a free transfer, which is his biggest attraction.

Bayern had hoped that Sane would agree to a pay cut to renew his contract, but the latter was unwilling to accept it, and brought in "super agent" Pini Zahavi to handle the negotiations for him, and the situation changed, and Zahavi's request made the Bundesliga champions very unhappy and asked them to take a stand this weekend. This has strained relations between the two sides, with Leroy Sane likely to leave next month.

However, although it is a free transfer, it does not mean that it is cheap, because Sane asks for more than £240,000 a week! On top of that, a free transfer means he can get a higher signing fee as well as an agent commission. At a time when Sir Jim Ratcliffe is struggling to cut costs at Manchester United, this is certainly a condition that he cannot accept. With a weekly salary of £240,000, he can rank in the top six of United's active players, behind Casemiro (£350,000 a week), Marcus Rashford (325,000), Bruno Fernandes (300,000), Jadon Sancho and Mason Mount (250,000).

Sane has scored 13 goals and provided six assists for Bayern Munich in all competitions this season. He won two Premier League titles at Manchester City, one FA Cup and three League Cups before moving to Bayern Munich for £45 million. But in his right winger position, Manchester United already have 40 million euros of Mr. Amad Diallo, and it seems that there is no need to bring in an older and expensive player as a substitute.

But this does not prevent the British media from concocting a large number of transfer rumours between Manchester United and the new right winger, Antoine Semenyo of Bournemouth in the English Premier League has been the protagonist recently, and the likelihood of him joining Ruben Amorim's team is also low, especially the "Cherry Army" with a price tag of 70 million pounds, which Lajue will certainly not afford, even if he can enter the Champions League next season. Wingers such as Brentford's Mbeumo and Nottingham Forest's Callum Hudson-Odoi are also regulars on the Red Devils' rumoured list.

Another winger who has been closely associated with Manchester United is Harvey Simons of RB Leipzig in the Bundesliga, who has already expressed his intention to leave the Bundesliga in the summer window. Leipzig are asking €80 million for the Dutch international, the same price they paid when they brought in from Paris Saint-Germain, but have only paid €55 million so far, so it could still be a big deal.

Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool have all been rumoured to be interested in Simmons, but Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has said there has been no progress on the deal. "He's on the list of several clubs, but there's no action at the moment, so it's too early to name any clubs."

At the moment, Manchester United's real transfer is a £67million deal for Wolves striker Cunha. Amorim is said to be confident of acquiring the Brazilian number 10 with 15 Premier League goals and six assists. While Arsenal and Newcastle United have reportedly also held talks with Cunha's agent, and Saudi Arabia's professional league has also expressed interest, United are very confident of acquiring him.

Romano said: 'Manchester United are trying to get the deal done, they have a good connection with Cunha, Amorim admires Cunha and the players know that very well. I want to tell Manchester United fans, take it easy. While it was assumed two or three weeks ago that the deal should be completed in a matter of days, it takes time to prepare a contract, negotiate a salary, negotiate with an agent, and then negotiate an instalment with Wolves. I expect United to continue to work hard in the next few days, Cunha is keen to join Manchester United and now just have to negotiate a contract.'
