Manchester United's 62.5 million confirmed first signing, Cunha signed a 5-year contract to wear No. 10! It was officially announced that 3 people left the team to start rebuilding

With Manchester United's 2-0 win over Aston Villa, the season's official season has come to an end. While there are two more £8million commercial games to play this week, fans are naturally more focused on Ruben Amorim's summer window rebuild. Work has started after the end of the league and the club has officially announced the departure of three players. They included Christian Eriksen, who scored the penalty against Villa, defender Victor Lindelof, who started the game, and substitute Evans.

The 37-year-old is expected to retire from the United Academy, while 33-year-old Eriksen and 30-year-old Lindelof are set to continue their careers at other clubs on free transfers. Evans has already travelled to Asia with the squad for his last two commercial games, and Eriksen and Victor Lindelof will not be involved.

Manchester United's official statement said: "We all thank Victor [Lindelof], Jonny [Evans] and Christian [Eriksen] for their contributions at Old Trafford and wish them the best of luck for the future. After Sunday's game, they received a warm farewell from the crowd."

Eriksen confirmed on the pitch that it was his farewell game: "Yes, I think that's why Bruno [Fernandez] asked me to take the penalty as a farewell gift. It's exciting to play for Manchester United at Old Trafford for a couple of years. I loved it and took away a lot of good memories. I have no doubt that I will be back here at some point in the future. Now, I'm going to spend a vacation first, relax, and then the national team game. Then I decided that in the future, my body could play for a few more years."

Manchester United, meanwhile, have also confirmed the transfer of Wolves striker Mateus Cunha. Italian transfer expert Fabrizio Romano has announced the completion of the deal with his iconic 'Here we go' that will see the 25-year-old Brazil international become Amorim's first signing of the summer window.

Manchester United had already largely sealed the transfer of Cunha last month, and Arsenal's involvement did not change the player's "dream". With Cunha agreeing to a five-year contract, there is no obstacle for the Red Devils to get him. The club will activate its £62.5 million liquidated damages, which will be announced next week.

Fabrizio Romano said: "Cunha joins Manchester United, here we come! Concerning all aspects of this transfer, a verbal agreement has been reached. Cunha will sign a contract until June 2030, with a renewable clause that can be extended until 2031. Wolves will receive £62.5 million in liquidated damages, to be paid in instalments. The formal procedures and contracts will be in place next week."

Cunha's income is certainly not low, and there are currently three versions of his weekly salary at Manchester United: £150,000, £180,000 and £200,000, with more to say next week. According to talkSPORT, Manchester United have also provided Cunha with the same number 10 shirt as he did at Wolves, which has recently belonged to Marcus Rashford, but the 27-year-old England winger is expected to leave this summer and will be loaned out again if not a permanent transfer is possible.

Cunha played in Wolves' final Premier League game of the season on Sunday, drawing 1-1 at home to Brentford, and said goodbye to Molineux's fans after the game. The audience chanted his name and sang in unison, while Cunha reveled in the conductor and danced.

Following the completion of the Cunha deal, United will focus on a plan to bring in a centre-forward, with Ipswich's Liam Trapp as the first target, with a penalty of just £15 million.
