It was revealed that Betis wanted to buy half of Anthony first! Manchester United refused to rent it out again, selling it for at least 32.5 million

La Liga Real Betis have reportedly proposed a special transfer package to sign Antony from Manchester United. The 25-year-old Brazilian winger has nine goals and five assists after a loan move to Betis in January, and La Liga clubs want him to continue playing for the club but don't have enough money.

The Athletic has confirmed that Manchester United want to ensure that they receive at least £32.5 million (about €40 million) for the sale of Antony, which is a decisive figure that the Reds can avoid losses under the Premier League's PSR profitability and sustainability rules.

"It would be very, very difficult to buy Anthony completely," Betis chairman Angel Harrow admitted, so rumours are rife that they are going to buy part of Anthony first, for example by buying 50% of Yuanshen and paying all his wages.

Betis allegedly told United during the negotiations that if Antony performs well in the future, his value can increase even more, and the additional ownership can be sold for a higher price!

Spanish newspaper Marca reports that Manchester United and Betis have confirmed that talks will continue next week on Antony's future, but the Red Devils have stressed that they will not cut prices.

As for Anthony, who is also willing to make sacrifices, he must reduce his £200,000-a-week salary, otherwise Betis simply can't afford it, and their top-paid player Isco is just over £100,000.

Manchester United are keen to sell Antony permanently this summer to raise transfer funds for Amorim's rebuilding plans. Atletico Madrid and Juventus are also seen to have some interest in Antony, while it remains to be seen whether Bayer Leverkusen will join the fray, having recently appointed Ten Hag as manager.

Selling existing wingers such as Antony, Marcus Rashford, Garnacho and Jadon Sancho could give United the money to bring in Brentford stalwart Brian Mbeumo, who has scored 20 goals and provided seven assists in the Premier League this season, second only to Liverpool's Mohamed Salah and Newcastle United's Isak in terms of goals.

'Bees' boss Thomas Frank has confirmed that Mbeumo can be sold in the summer window, but will receive a high transfer fee. "Obviously, if Brian [Mbemo] is sold, the price will be very high." Frank said, "Give a high price, thank you for your patronage. The price will be truly astronomical, because you will be very difficult to find someone to replace him, that is impossible. We only paid a few million pounds to get him, but now it might be 10 times the price. I would say I would be surprised if the big guys didn't pay attention to him."

Frank's next description is like that of a gold medal salesperson: "I was amazed at his comprehensiveness. How many wingers have scored 20 goals for a mid-table club, along with seven assists. Add to that his professionalism, but also his character. All of that means he's a rare player and a good player."

According to British media, Brentford could price between £50 million and £55 million for Mbeumo. He has only one year left on his contract, but the club has the option to automatically renew his contract until 2027, so he still has the initiative. The Bees have sold the likes of Ivan Toney and David Raya in recent seasons, and United have also signed midfielder Christian Eriksen for free from the team.

In addition to Mbeumo, Brentford striker Joana Wissa, who has scored 19 goals this season, is also rumoured to be one of the candidates for Manchester United's summer window after Liam Trapp was absent.
