The 22-year-old incurred a fibula fracture along with a broken and dislocated ankle after colliding with PSG goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma at the end of the first half.
The Germany international, who was taken off on a stretcher, returned from Atlanta to Munich where he underwent surgery and is anticipated to be out for several months, missing the beginning of the new season.
"The surgery went very well, I'm receiving excellent care, and I want to emphasize that there is no one to blame for this," Musiala expressed in an Instagram post.
"I believe such situations happen, and now I will use this time to regain my strength and positivity."
Donnarumma appeared visibly distressed after the injury and mentioned post-match that his "thoughts and best wishes" were with Musiala.
Bayern manager Vincent Kompany was extremely upset about the incident, stating shortly after the 2-0 loss that he had "rarely felt so angry."
Musiala concluded the season with 21 goals and eight assists across all competitions as Bayern secured the Bundesliga title.
