FC Utrecht secured a spot in the second round of the UEFA Europa League qualifying phase after finishing fourth in the 2024/25 Eredivisie.
The team from Domstad must first compete in the second round of the UEFA Europa League qualifying, where they will take on Moldovan championsSheriff Tiraspol on July 24th and 31st.
In a potential third round, FC Utrecht will encounter the losing team from the matchup between Czech Chance Liga clubViktoria Plzen or Swiss club Servette FC. Plzen and FC Utrecht have never faced each other before, whereas Servette and Utrecht have previously met in a friendly match in 2022.
The third-round matches are scheduled for August 6th and 13th. Viktoria Plzen or Servette will host the first leg before traveling to the Netherlands or Moldova the following week.
