This strategic initiative follows thorough research and due diligence conducted over the last year, highlighting RNSI's dedication to making a genuine and lasting impact on the African continent.
RNSI's strategy for Africa aims to establish partnerships with key regions across the continent, with the objective not only to cultivate elite football talent but also to ensure these young athletes flourish in their careers, achieve success at the highest levels of the sport, and receive the necessary support to fulfill their aspirations.
This vision seeks to replicate RNSI's effective model worldwide while maintaining a personalized approach to identifying and developing outstanding young talent. The most evident demonstration of what this expansion signifies on the ground is the recent recruitment of several young players from various parts of the continent.
These teenage talents, coming from South Africa, Ghana, Nigeria, Gambia, Guinea, and Zimbabwe, have been meticulously selected for their skills and dedication both on and off the pitch.
The newly recruited group of talents features Nigerian star Ifeoluwa Olowoporoku, together with Neo Bohloko (South Africa), Ali Umar and Joseph Narbi (Ghana), Francis Gomez (Gambia), Mamadou Diallo (Guinea), Tadiwa Chakuchichi (Zimbabwe), and Siyabonga Mabena (South Africa).
Other areas on the continent where RNSI will be active include Ivory Coast and Zambia, with additional player signings anticipated soon.
Nathan Campbell, RNSI’s Head of Global Recruitment for Football, expressed that it was an incredibly thrilling moment to commemorate this expansion project.
“We believe Africa is a treasure trove of unexploited football talent, and our expansion here is a natural extension of our global vision,” he stated.
“Our strategy is founded on deep collaboration with local partners, enabling us to comprehend and address the unique needs of African players, ensuring they receive the utmost support to achieve their full potential.
“I’d also like to take this opportunity to thank the newest addition to our RNSI football management team, Director of Africa recruitment Grant Veitch, who has played a vital role in the execution of this expansion project.”
RNSI initially established a presence in Africa in 2021 through a consultancy partnership with the prominent African club Mamelodi Sundowns, which continues to thrive today. Additionally, Emile Witbooi, one of South Africa’s most respected young talents, recently signed with RNSI.
The move into Africa follows RNSI's expansion into the South American market in 2023, when it acquired the Brazil-based TFM Agency. This strategic acquisition brought over 100 footballers under the company’s umbrella, including Brazilian stars such as Vinicius Jr, Gabriel Martinelli and Endrick.
Since opening its London office in 2019, Roc Nation Sports International has quickly risen to become one of the top 10 football agencies globally, boasting an impressive roster of international football clients, including renowned stars such as Chris Richards, Federico Dimarco, Luis Henrique, Kerolin, and Malick Fofana.
The expansion into Africa emphasizes Roc Nation Sports International's steadfast commitment to discovering and nurturing the next generation of football stars, and RNSI looks forward to collaborating with partners and football consultants such as Ebanor Sports (Gambia), Olatunji Okuku (Nigeria), Oscar Guirao (Ivory Coast), and Sakibu Nuhu (Ghana).
