The Indonesian goalkeeper has joined Cremonese in Serie A on a loan-to-buy deal, having previously helped Indonesia defeat the national team 1-0.

According to the latest report from Italian journalist Di Marzio, Serie A club Cremonese has signed Indonesian national goalkeeper Audero through a loan followed by a purchase option.

It is reported that the newly promoted Cremonese needs to strengthen their goalkeeper position this summer transfer window, and after failing to negotiate with Roma's goalkeeper Gorini, they immediately contacted 28-year-old Indonesian keeper Audero from Como. Di Marzio claims that Cremonese has successfully negotiated with Audero, and the deal structure is a loan plus an optional buyout.

Audero came through Juventus' youth academy and has played for Juventus, Venezia, Sampdoria, Inter Milan, Como, and Palermo. Last season, he was naturalized by the Indonesian Football Association and participated in the Asian qualifiers for the World Cup, helping Indonesia secure a 1-0 victory over the national team at home in June this year.

The 28-year-old Audero is in the prime age for a goalkeeper, is right-footed, stands 1.92 meters tall, and has a market value of 3.2 million euros, which is higher than any player on the national team. Looking back, it's understandable that the national team struggles against Indonesia, as it remains uncertain when they will produce players who can compete in the top five leagues abroad. Last season, Audero made 23 appearances for Como across all competitions, achieving 3 clean sheets while conceding 39 goals, averaging 1.69 goals per game.
