Lukman’s departure trilogy (removing social media + public statement + training strike) is unfortunate that Inter Milan won’t increase the offer.

According to the latest report from Inter Milan news, Lukman might go on a training strike on August 4th, aiming for a smooth transfer to Inter Milan this summer window.

It must be said that Lukman truly has a blue-black heart; this 27-year-old Nigerian winger has done everything possible to join Inter Milan. He first deleted all social media content related to Atalanta, including his profile picture and bio. Then, he publicly released a lengthy statement on social media expressing his strong desire to leave Atalanta for Inter Milan. Finally, his last resort is to strike training, completely severing ties with Atalanta.

Currently, Atalanta is training in Zingonia, and after a friendly match with Leipzig, the team will continue training. Lukman may be absent, which will further escalate tensions between the player, the club, and the fans.

Lukman's desire to join Inter Milan is understandable, but there’s nothing to be done if Inter Milan won’t increase their offer. Atalanta has set a price of €50 million and is firm on it, as Lukman’s market value is €60 million, with two years left on his contract. Inter Milan's highest bid is €42 million plus €3 million in variables.

In my personal opinion, Atalanta's price for Lukman is reasonable; it’s just that Inter Milan is too stingy and unwilling to spend money, trying to pressure the price down while Atalanta stands firm, stating no negotiations without €50 million.
