Anthony has once again turned down another transfer option! His collaboration with Betis to pressure for a price drop leaves Manchester United in a difficult position.

Manchester United's €100 million man, Anthony, is not lacking in suitors, as Portuguese giants Benfica have recently shown interest in him. However, the 25-year-old Brazilian winger only wishes to return to Real Betis, once again rejecting other transfer options, leaving the Red Devils in a tough spot.

The Brazilian international has turned down offers from two major clubs in Brazil, São Paulo and Botafogo, this summer, with São Paulo being his former team, but Anthony has stated he has no desire to return to South American football. Subsequently, a transfer fee proposal from Saudi Arabia's professional league was also rejected by "the Round Compass," despite it being sufficient for him to achieve financial freedom.

Currently, reports from Portugal indicate that Benfica's plans have also not received Anthony's approval. Of course, even if the Portuguese club could persuade "the Round Compass," Manchester United is unlikely to agree, as they prefer a permanent transfer instead of a loan, seeking a fee of £30 million. A source said, "Benfica is exploring the possibility of loaning Anthony. So far, there have been two contacts, but Manchester United is only willing to let him go if they receive a transfer fee."

According to "Goal.com," Anthony has reiterated his stance that he will not join any club other than Betis, despite interest from many teams; his heart belongs solely to Betis. Sevilla's "Sport" newspaper states that Manchester United has received numerous inquiries regarding Anthony, including intentions from Premier League clubs, but the player has turned down all these offers.

Spanish media reports that Betis is confident Anthony will not go elsewhere, allowing them to benefit from the situation throughout the summer transfer window, maintaining a stable financial condition and successfully implementing other transfer strategies. They believe that as the transfer window closes, Manchester United will have no choice but to loan Anthony back to them.

Moreover, Anthony's salary is so high that clubs hesitate when considering bringing him in. Even Betis cannot match his salary, and if Anthony wishes to stay at Betis permanently, he must significantly reduce his pay or find other ways to resolve this issue—such as having Manchester United subsidize it. Betis' owner has made it clear that no player is more important than the club's financial stability and sustainability.

Aside from Anthony's personal wishes, Manchester United's €35 million asking price has not found any European clubs willing to match it. Pellegrini's team is so confident about completing this deal that they have already reserved a non-EU registration spot for him.

Multiple talks have been held between Anthony and Manchester United, and reports suggest that both parties have reached a preliminary agreement for his transfer, but the player still needs to persuade Manchester United to agree to a price reduction to fulfill his dream of rejoining Betis.

It is quite ironic that Anthony once staged a training strike to transfer from Ajax to the Red Devils, at which time Old Trafford fans were thrilled with his eagerness to join the team. Little did he expect to face "backlash" upon his departure, experiencing the feeling of being pressured by players himself.

Ajax fined Anthony three times for his training strike, deducting €360,000 from his wages. Earlier this year, Anthony won an arbitration case demanding compensation from the Dutch giants for his losses at that time. The Dutch Football Association's arbitration committee ruled that Ajax's €50,000 fine for Anthony's absence from one training session was excessive, and the additional fines were deemed unreasonable.

Anthony has also dealt with legal and administrative issues related to allegations of domestic violence from his partner, making him quite the legal expert in football. Therefore, if Manchester United were to impose any penalties on Anthony for his insistence on transferring only to Betis, they might face corresponding actions from the Brazilian winger.
