Following a lively summer transfer period, V-League has shown notable progress, climbing to third place in Southeast Asia for total player transfer value in the 2025/26 season.

V-League ranks as the third most valuable league in Southeast Asia.

The season has officially begun in the region, and based on the latest data, V-League has reached a total transfer value of 53.57 million euros with 14 clubs, overtaking the Malaysia Super League and other competitions to assert its status. This achievement reflects the robust development of Vietnamese football, though it still lags behind Thai League 1 (77.04 million euros/16 clubs) and Indonesia Super League (71.54 million euros/18 clubs).

This season, V-League continues to make headlines with impressive transfers. Nam Dinh FC now has the highest squad value in the league at 9.21 million euros for 34 players, averaging 271,000 euros per player. The arrivals of South African striker Percy Muzi Tau and Brazilian defender Matheus Felipe, both valued at 1 million euros, stand out as the most expensive players in the V-League.

V-League has surpassed Malaysia to become the third most valuable league in Southeast Asia.

Meanwhile, leading teams in the region such as Buriram United (Thailand, 15.25 million euros) and Dewa United Banten FC (Indonesia, 5.49 million euros) continue to dominate their national leagues, featuring high-priced foreign players like Bissoli (2 million euros, Buriram United) and Thijmen Goppel (700,000 euros, Bali United).

Strong investments from clubs and increasing transfer values have helped V-League solidify its place on the regional football map. With this momentum, V-League is expected to keep delivering surprises and contribute positively to Southeast Asian football.
