Former Leicester City striker Jamie Vardy has unexpectedly become a target for Serie A champions Napoli.

At 38, Vardy has surprisingly been identified as a transfer option for the Italian club after Romelu Lukaku suffered a significant thigh injury that will keep him out for three months. During a family holiday at their £9.7 million villa in Algarve, Portugal, Rebekah shared a photo of their three children wearing Inter Miami shirts, complete with a sunglasses-wearing smiley emoji. This led many fans to speculate that Vardy might join Lionel Messi’s club, where stars like Luis Suarez, Sergio Busquets, and Jordi Alba play. However, a source close to Inter Miami dismissed the rumors, stating there is "absolutely no chance" Vardy will move to MLS and even claimed the team "doesn’t even know who Vardy is" after signing Rodrigo De Paul.

Against this backdrop, Napoli has emerged as the most likely destination. Before Lukaku’s injury, the Italian team had attempted to sign Rasmus Hojlund from Manchester United and Darwin Nunez from Liverpool, but both deals fell through due to high costs.
