As of this morning (September 21, 2025, 7 AM), Zhou Yuelong and Mark Allen have both won their matches to move on to the final of the Snooker England Open.

The semifinals were contested in a best-of-11 frames format, with the match details illustrated in the following image.

1. In the first semifinal, Zhou Yuelong defeated Selby 6-3 to advance to the final.
2. In the second semifinal, Mark Allen narrowly beat Jack Jones 6-5 to qualify for the final.

Zhou Yuelong started strong against Selby with a three-frame streak, leading 3-0, then both players won one frame each before Zhou finally clinched the match 6-3. Selby is known for his slow, grinding style, which can be frustrating! Fortunately, Zhou held his ground. However, Zhou was a bit tense and his mindset was slightly unstable. In the eighth frame, he could have closed out the match but hesitated on an easy shot and made a mistake. Selby’s long pots were very accurate later on, but Zhou’s overall performance was superior. Mark Allen surprisingly eliminated Jack Jones 6-5 to set up a final clash with Zhou Yuelong.
