In the final of the Snooker English Open just finished, Zhou Yuelong was runner-up after losing 8-9 to Mark Allen.
The match format was best of 17 frames, and in the first session, Zhou Yuelong fell behind Mark Allen by a large margin of 2-6.
In the second session, Zhou played excellently, even taking the lead at 8-7 and reaching match point before Allen.

Although Zhou Yuelong did not claim the championship, his performance was outstanding and worthy of commendation.
Zhou was nervous and made many mistakes in the first session, while Mark Allen showed precise long-range shots, few errors, and strong opportunism.
In the second session, Zhou turned the tables with a 6-1 run, bringing the score to 8-7 and gaining the first match point.
Unfortunately, in the 16th frame, Zhou made several errors, which allowed Mark Allen to secure the victory.
During the interview, Zhou said he was very tired, which led to poor decision-making. Indeed, after nearly six hours of play, fatigue was inevitable.
This was Zhou Yuelong’s fourth attempt at winning a title, but he still fell short. However, compared to before, he has made great progress! We look forward to him breaking through and finally winning a championship.
