The tournament is organized by the Department of Physical Education and Sports, the Vietnam Tennis Federation (VTF), the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Lam Dong province, in collaboration with NovaGroup Corporation and the People's Public Security Sports Association.
This is the largest and most significant professional tennis event of the year in Vietnam. This year, the tournament gathers over 100 players from 14 provinces, cities, and leading clubs nationwide, including top contenders such as Ho Chi Minh City, the Military, Da Nang, and Hanoi.
Matches are played in a best-of-three sets format, covering five categories: men's singles, women's singles, men's doubles, women's doubles, and mixed doubles. In doubles, when the score reaches 40-40, players compete in a deciding point; if tied at 1-1, a Super Tie-break determines the winner. All events follow a knockout format, promising exciting and intense matches from the very first round.
Mr. Nguyen Hong Son, Vice President and General Secretary of the Vietnam Tennis Federation and Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee, stated that the NovaWorld Phan Thiet complex currently features 14 of the most modern tennis courts in Vietnam and Southeast Asia, meeting international standards and continuing to be upgraded. It is planned that in the fourth quarter of 2025, the Vietnam Tennis Federation will collaborate with NovaWorld Phan Thiet and Lam Dong province to host seven additional professional international tennis tournaments. This provides players an opportunity to showcase their performance and serves as a basis for selecting athletes for the national team to participate in SEA Games 33 in Thailand (December 2025) and other international competitions in 2026.
Lam Dong Provincial Vice Chairman Nguyen Minh affirmed that the province will continue to facilitate favorable mechanisms, infrastructure, and policies to attract more major sports events and enterprises to support the movement, contributing to building a large-scale, modern, and sustainable regional sports-tourism-cultural center. With thorough preparations by the Organizing Committee, enthusiastic participation of athletes, and support from sponsors and media, the National Tennis Championship - NovaWorld Cup 2025 will be successfully held, bringing a positive image, energy, and a lasting impression on Vietnam’s sports movement.
This event also marks the opening of Phase 2 of the Sports Festival 2025 at NovaWorld Phan Thiet — a large-scale sports event series running from October 2025 to early 2026. Through consecutive tournaments, the Organizing Committee aims to build a professional sports foundation, promote sports practice, and enhance Vietnam’s image globally.
The National Tennis Championship - NovaWorld Cup 2025 will continue until October 19th.
