Carlos Alcaraz has disclosed the two standout highlights of the current season.
Undoubtedly, 2025 can be considered the best season in the still young career of Carlos Alcaraz. The Spanish player has finally demonstrated the consistency he lacked in previous years, becoming nearly unstoppable since spring.
At 22 years old, Alcaraz has won 8 titles, broken his personal record for most wins in a single year, and reclaimed the world No. 1 ranking, overtaking his major rival Jannik Sinner after the US Open.
The player with 6 Grand Slam titles experienced a turning point following an early exit at the Miami Open, where his season started below expectations. Afterwards, Alcaraz regained form and performed brilliantly on all surfaces.
During the press conference after the semifinal at the Six Kings Slam in Saudi Arabia, where he defeated Taylor Fritz to reach the final against Sinner, Alcaraz shared the two most unforgettable moments of the season.
He said: “The past months have been amazing, both on and off the court. This is definitely the best year of my career. If I had to pick two special moments, they would be the victory at Roland Garros – truly incredible – and the title at Monte Carlo, because it came right after a disappointing loss in Miami.”
Alcaraz also mentioned he has not yet reached 100% fitness after a short break, but he is enjoying every match in the latter half of the season. Last year, he lost to Sinner in the Six Kings Slam final after a thrilling three-set match, and this rematch is seen as a chance for revenge.
After the tournament in Riyadh, the world No. 1 will continue competing at the Paris Masters 1000, ATP Finals in Turin, and possibly the Davis Cup final in Bologna. Alcaraz’s goal is to finish 2025 firmly at the top of the rankings and prove himself as the rightful successor in the post-Big Three era.
