The 2025 Davis Cup Finals will bring together the world’s top 8 tennis teams, starting November 18 in Bologna, Italy. Teams will compete from the quarterfinals onward, with up to 3 matches per tie, in a knockout format to crown the champion.
This year’s Davis Cup Finals will feature the current world No. 1, Carlos Alcaraz. Additionally, Alexander Zverev will make his debut in the finals, aiming to help Germany end their title drought in this prestigious event. Other notable players appearing in Bologna include Lorenzo Musetti, Matteo Berrettini, Ugo Humbert, Francisco Cerundolo, Jiri Lehecka, Jakub Mensik, among others.
Jannik Sinner, the current world No. 2, will not participate with Italy in this year’s Davis Cup Finals. Moreover, strong teams such as the USA (Ben Shelton, Taylor Fritz), Canada (Felix Auger-Aliassime, Denis Shapovalov), Australia (Alex De Minaur, Alexei Popyrin), and the defending runner-up Netherlands (Tallon Griekspoor, Botic Van De Zandschulp) will be absent from the finals after failing to qualify.
Italy has won the Davis Cup for two consecutive years, most recently securing a 2-0 victory over the Netherlands in the 2024 final. However, the "Azzurri" face significant challenges this season without Sinner.
