On October 25th, 2025, the WTA500 Tokyo event confirmed the finalists. Fifth seed Bencic overcame last year’s finalist and 10th seed Kenin in a 2 hour 15 minute match, winning 7-6(5), 3-6, 6-2, marking her maiden victory over Kenin in their career meetings. After surviving tough battles in the previous two rounds, Bencic earned 325 ranking points and $101,000 in prize money, boosting her ranking to No.11 immediately. This marks her second final appearance this season and the twentieth in her career on the WTA Tour. Notably, ten years ago, Bencic also reached the final at this event, where she lost to A. Radwanska and finished as runner-up.

Tomorrow, Bencic will compete against sixth seed Noskova for the title, who advanced by default after Leylah Fernandez withdrew. Noskova has been achieving consecutive strong results in the Asian season and has climbed to No.13 in the rankings. In doubles, third seeds Danilina and Krunic defeated Aoyama and Buksha 6-2, 6-3 to reach the final against fourth seeds Babos and Stefanie, who came back from a set down to beat top seeds Perez and Townsend 6-7(4), 6-3, 10-5. The women’s singles and doubles finals will be held consecutively at the center court starting at noon tomorrow Beijing time.
