Match Preview
Firstly, this will be their first encounter as they have never played against each other before, so their head-to-head record is zero.
Anisimova has won WTA1000 titles in China and Doha, finished runner-up at the Grand Slams Wimbledon and US Open, and reached the top four at the WTA Finals. Currently ranked fourth in the world, she boasts impressive results and strong ability.
Wang Xinyu has been runner-up at the WTA500 Berlin and WTA250 Auckland tournaments, and has reached the round of 16 or 32 in all four Grand Slams. Although her achievements are also remarkable, she still falls short compared to Anisimova.
For tomorrow’s match, the odds on paper definitely favor Anisimova. However, victory is earned on the court, not just on paper. I hope Wang performs excellently and pulls off an upset against Anisimova. Of course, if she loses, everyone should continue to support Wang wholeheartedly. Keep going, we look forward to you creating more miracles!
