Day 10 at the Australian Open: Quarterfinals Begin! Akasaba Aims for the Semifinals

Last year's finalist Zverev will battle 25th seed Lerna Qian for a semifinal spot; this will be their first meeting in a hard-court Grand Slam, with each having won one of their two previous encounters. The night session kicks off with a top-tier contest between No. 3 seed Gauff and No. 12 seed Svitolina, followed by the headliner match between world No. 1 Alcaraz and local favorite Deminal.

The women's doubles fourth-seeded pair of Zhang Shuai and Mertens will appear in the second match at Margaret Court Arena, facing Baptiste/Sterns as they aim for a spot in the doubles quarterfinals. Meanwhile, four young players—Sun Xinran, Shao Yushan, Qu Yihan, and Wei Zhangqian—will compete in the junior tournament. Due to high temperatures, the start time for matches on the outer courts tomorrow has been moved up to 6 a.m. Beijing time.
