On February 14 local time, the 2026 WTA1000 Doha final day wrapped up. In the women's singles final, 14th seed Muchova overcame 10th seed Mboko 6-4, 7-5 to secure her maiden WTA1000 championship.

Mboko and Muchova
Muchova showed strong form throughout the event, dropping only one set in the semifinals against Sakkari; meanwhile, Mboko reached the final by defeating strong opponents such as Andreyeva and Rybakina. In this match between Muchova and Mboko, Muchova broke serve in the 7th game of the first set and took it 6-4. In the second set, Mboko broke for the first time in the 6th game but failed to maintain the lead as the score leveled at 5-5. Muchova then broke again in the crucial 11th game and sealed the victory with a love game on her serve in the championship point.
This marks Muchova's first WTA1000 title and her second career championship since winning the 2019 WTA250 Seoul event, making her the oldest Czech player to win a WTA Premier/WTA1000 title, surpassing Novotna who won Zurich in 1996 at age 28.
After earning 1000 ranking points and $665,000 prize money, Muchova will rise to world No.11. Although Mboko missed out on her second WTA1000 title, she is set to break into the top 10 for the first time next week. At the trophy ceremony, Muchova said, "It’s been a long time since I last won a title. To feel this again, especially reliving the joy of victory here in Doha, is amazing. This feeling is incredible, thank you all so much."
