Starting at 6 PM tonight, the women's 1000m quarterfinals, semifinals, and finals will take place.
At 6:20 PM tonight, the men's 500m preliminary races will begin.
At 7:06 PM tonight, the men's 5000m relay race will be held.
CCTV-5 will provide live coverage of the three events in which the Chinese team is competing.
Event Preview
So far, the Chinese team has only won a silver medal in the men's 1000m by Sun Long; no medals have been earned in other events, which is rare compared to previous Winter Olympics. It is almost certain that this Winter Olympics will be a setback for China's short track speed skating team.
Tonight in the women's 1000m final, can we win the gold medal and break the zero-gold streak for the Chinese delegation at this Winter Olympics? I am very hopeful. What do you all think?
We should reflect on why the Chinese short track speed skating results are so poor at this Winter Olympics. What went wrong? Why were so many foreign athletes naturalized?
