Three ATP tournaments kicked off simultaneously this week, with many players racing nonstop!

A new week brings three ATP events starting again. Besides the Doha event attracting attention due to the twin stars Alcaraz and Sinner, the highest-level South American clay tournament—the Rio Open—also draws many well-known players. Let's take a look at the tournament draws.

Cerundolo, who just won last week in Buenos Aires, will continue without rest. The top seed will face Lavonne in the first round; another seed in this section is the sixth seed, Frenchman Muller. Also, the former champion Garin and ex-Chilean No.1 Taberner have returned to this section after a long absence.

The second quarter is led by the local fan-favorite young star Fonseca. Unlike his Basel title at the end of last year, he has yet to show convincing form this year. He is likely to face former champion Jarry in the second round; two Italian stars, Berrettini and Sonego, are also placed here; Mayer, who once defeated Sinner in five sets at Roland Garros, is in this section as well. Overall, this quarter appears to be the strongest.

The third quarter is headed by defending champion Baez, an Argentine who excels in winning clay events at this level. Another compatriot, Echeverry, who once reached the French Open quarterfinals, is also in this section. These two are favorites to reach the semifinals.

The final quarter is led by Italian player Darderi, who is also playing back-to-back tournaments. He will meet young Cerundolo in the first round. Additionally, several Argentine players are drawn in this section.

As the highest-level South American clay event of the season, the Rio Open has always been a fiercely contested battleground, with past champions including notable names like Alcaraz and Schwartzman.

Meanwhile, at the lowest-level Delray Beach event this week, a large contingent of American players is competing, including Fritz, Paul, Rinderknech, and Tiafoe. The first round features several key matchups, such as former US Open champion Cilic facing Brandon Nakashima, and Korda playing wildcard Brooksby. Also participating are Italian Copil, Norway’s Ruud, Shanghai Masters winner Vachier-Lagrave, and defending champion Kecmanovic.

Last year at this event, Serbian Kecmanovic narrowly escaped multiple match points against Fucsovics to claim the title—a moment still vivid in memory. This year, after an early exit in Dallas last week, the Spaniard chose not to continue competing. Who will claim the two titles? Let's wait and see!(Source: Tennis Home, Author: Luo Cheng Qiye)
