The 2026 Indian Wells event is nearing its ultimate final clash. In a key women's singles semifinal, top-ranked Aryna Sabalenka eliminated Noskova with a 6-3 6-4 scoreline, advancing to the Indian Wells final for the third time in her career.
As one of the most dominant hardcourt players among active female athletes, Sabalenka has played 17 matches this year, winning 16 of them in straight sets. Against Noskova, she displayed excellent performance across all statistical metrics.

Sabalenka fired 11 aces throughout the match, with her serve undoubtedly driving the offense. Additionally, the Belarusian showcased powerful and deep shots from the baseline, keeping Noskova under constant pressure. Notably, Sabalenka has reached at least the final in all three tournaments she participated in this season—Brisbane, the Australian Open, and Indian Wells.

In past seasons, Sabalenka has twice reached the Indian Wells women's singles final but has yet to claim the title, losing to Rybakina in 2023 and Andreeva in 2025 after making the final.
Following this victory in the Indian Wells semifinal, Sabalenka also secured her 14th career WTA 1000-level final and her 43rd tour-level final.
Sabalenka's final opponent is once again Rybakina, who also won her semifinal in straight sets, defeating the season's standout Svitolina with a score of 7-5 6-4.

This marks the tournament's third seed's return to the Indian Wells women's singles final since the 2023 season, and it is her sixth career 1000-level final and 24th tour-level final.
Of course, Rybakina's last title at a 1000-level event also dates back to the 2023 season, when she won the women's singles championship in Rome. Subsequently, she finished as runner-up in Doha and Miami in 2024.
The final lineup remains Sabalenka versus Rybakina. The two recently faced off at this year's Australian Open, where Rybakina narrowly defeated her opponent 6-4, 4-6, 6-4 to win the title. Their upcoming match promises considerable suspense, and this final is sure to be a clash of titans.

Additionally, the entry list for next week's Miami tournament has been updated. With American star Navarro withdrawing, Zhang Shuai has secured a spot in the main draw, allowing her to bypass the qualifying rounds. Thus, this year's Miami event will feature Zheng Qinwen, Wang Xinyu, Zhang Shuai, Zhang Zhizhen, and Wu Yibong directly entering the main draw.Source: Tennis Home, Author: Barbie
