World number one Sabalenka reached the final without losing a single set throughout the tournament and only conceded two break points to secure victory over Coco Gauff in the championship match.

With this win, Sabalenka becomes the fifth female player to consecutively win the Indian Wells and Miami Open titles, an achievement known as the "Sunshine Double." Previously, only four other players have accomplished this: Steffi Graf, Kim Clijsters, Victoria Azarenka, and Swiatek.

Sabalenka also becomes the first player to win the Miami Open two years in a row since the dominant era of Serena Williams.

To date, Sabalenka has secured a total of 24 WTA singles titles. Among these are 4 Grand Slam titles, 11 WTA 1000 titles, and she has also held the world number one ranking for 83 weeks.

This title reaffirms Sabalenka's number one status, while Gauff once again misses out on the Miami Open crown.

So far, Sabalenka and Coco Gauff have faced each 13 times, with the Belarusian player holding the advantage with 7 victories.
