On April 4 Beijing time, the women's singles semifinals of the W100 Lu'an station unfolded. Among the three Chinese players in the semifinals, only You Xiaodi successfully advanced. When she was leading Wang Xiyu 3-2 in the first set, the latter chose to withdraw due to a left leg strain. This is the highest-level tournament final she has reached in her career.

You Xiaodi
Wang Xiyu, since her return in March, has won two consecutive titles in Ma'anshan, carrying a 13-match winning streak to raise her world ranking to No.167. You Xiaodi performed excellently in this tournament, defeating the top seed Tararud in the first round, and then successively eliminated two strong players, Sa Wangkai and Dart. After reaching the final, You Xiaodi earned 65 ranking points and $8,147 prize money, with her live ranking rising to No.203, basically securing a spot in the Wimbledon qualifiers; if she wins the final, she will return to the TOP200 after 22 months.

Ren Yufei
The other women's singles semifinal was between the young player Ren Yufei, born in 2006, and the qualifier Lan Xie Lie. After a grueling battle lasting 2 hours and 31 minutes, the Chinese youngster missed a match point in the second set and stopped regrettably with a score of 6-3/6-7(4)/2-6. In the first set, Ren Yufei broke her opponent three times to win 6-3; in the second set, trailing 1-3, she won four consecutive games and first secured a match point, but Lan Xie Lie broke her serve twice in the match-deciding games and leveled the match through a tiebreak 7-6(4). In the deciding set, amidst a battle of breaks, Lan Xie Lie stabilized first and achieved a major reversal with 6-2.
Although she missed the final, this is already the highest-level tournament semifinal Ren Yufei has reached in her career. This season, she won two consecutive W15 titles in Egypt, showing a clear upward trend; after earning 39 ranking points and $4,340 prize money, her current live ranking jumped to No.355. The women's singles final will be held tomorrow. The All Tennis APP video channel and微博 will broadcast the entire match live, please stay tuned!
