On April 5 local time, 19-year-old Spanish youngster Hodal defeated 36-year-old qualifier Trengriti 6-3/6-2 to successfully claim his first career tour-level title at the ATP250 Marrakech event. In men's doubles, the American pair Cash/Tracy beat Kilkov/Stevens 6-2/6-3 to win the championship.

Hodal is the first teenage player to win a tour-level title this season, becoming the second "post-2006" player to capture a maiden title after Fonseca. His world ranking was only No.911 a year ago; with the 250 ranking points earned from this week's victory, he will break into the TOP60 for the first time.
