Carlos Alcaraz delivers an encouraging update after a severe wrist injury.

Due to a major wrist issue, Alcaraz had to withdraw from back-to-back Grand Slam tournaments, the French Open and Wimbledon.

Carlos Alcaraz keeps providing hopeful signs to his fans by posting a series of new photos on social media, showing that his injury recovery is making notable progress after several months away from the court.

The Spanish player has not competed since mid-April after being forced to withdraw from the Barcelona Open due to a wrist injury. The prolonged fitness problem caused Alcaraz to miss nearly the entire clay-court season, with the most regrettable being his absence from Roland Garros and Wimbledon, two major Grand Slams of the year.

Although no official return date has been confirmed, the latest images shared by Alcaraz are bringing optimism to fans. In one photo, the current world No. 2 appears on court holding a racket, indicating he has resumed professional training. Notably, Alcaraz is also wearing a Los Angeles Lakers jersey, reflecting a relaxed mindset during his recovery.

Furthermore, the 23-year-old tennis star posted pictures of himself training on an athletics track, seen as a sign that he is focusing on improving his fitness and endurance ahead of his comeback in the second half of the season. A short video in the series also shows Carlitos hitting balls with his left hand, suggesting he maintains his movement sense while unable to perform high-intensity work with his dominant hand.

As planned, Alcaraz is targeting a return during the North American hard-court season, which starts in August. However, his team remains cautious to avoid any risk of re‑injury.

Earlier, when confirming his withdrawal from the Queen's Club Championships and Wimbledon, Alcaraz stated that his recovery was progressing well but was not enough for him to compete at the highest level. The Spanish No. 1 asserted that he would not jeopardize his health and would prioritize full recovery before returning.

Another striking detail is that Alcaraz reportedly sought help from Dr. Angel Ruiz‑Cotorro, a renowned sports medicine specialist who has worked alongside the legendary Rafael Nadal for many years. This same doctor played a key role in helping Nadal overcome physical issues to win the 2022 Roland Garros title.
