WTA Charleston: Zhang Shuai defeated Blonzetti in three sets to advance to the second round

In a Women's Singles round, eighth seed Anisimova swept past former champion Kudermetova 6-2, 6-2 to advance to the Women's Singles round of 16, awaiting the winner between Zhang Shuai and Putintseva.
