Looking at the standings after Monca: Musetti rose five places to a new high, while Acre returned to second place after the title

Lorenzo Musetti's first final at the ATP1000 Monte Carlo Masters saw him climb to No. 11 in the ATP rankings, setting a new career high in the ATP rankings.

Carlos Alcaraz, who won the title at Monaco, overtook Zverev to regain the No. 2 spot in the world rankings after winning his sixth Masters 1000 title.

Changes to the ATP rankings as of Monday, April 14:

No. 11 Lorenzo Musetti, up 5 places (career high)

The 23-year-old Musetti reached his first Masters final with four of his five victories in Monte Carlo, and has since moved up five places to a career-high No. 11. Musetti came back from behind in the quarter-finals to defeat three-time champion Tsitsipas and narrowly beat De Minaur in a thrilling semi-final before losing to Alcaraz in three sets in the final.

No. 2 Carlos Alcaraz, up one place

The 21-year-old Spaniard won his sixth Masters 1000 title and his first in Monte Carlo, overtaking Zverev to regain the No. 2 spot in the world rankings. Alcaraz has come from behind in three of his five victories, including a tenacious 3-1 victory over Fils in the quarter-finals.

No. 7 Alex Deminauer, up three places

De Minaur moved up three places to No. 7 after reaching his first semi-final at the Clay Masters, dropping just four games to comfortably defeat ninth seed Dmitry Medvedev before sweeping Dimitrov 6-0, 6-0 for the first time since 2013 in the quarterfinals and beyond on the ATP Tour.

No. 30 Davidovich Fokina, up 12 places

With his semi-final run at Monte Carlo, Fokina continued his excellent start to the season, jumping 12 places to 30th. He has reached two ATP Tour finals this year, at Delray Beach and Acapulco, and his record improves to 18-9 in 2025, which is the same as his total number of wins in all of 2024.

No. 68 Daniel Altmaier, up 16 places

With his performance in the third round at Monte Carlo, Daniel Altmaire moved up 16 places to 68th. The German qualifier claimed a striking victory ahead of eventual champion Alcaraz over 16th seeds Aliassime and Richard Gasquet.
