When the Chinese tennis tour met the ancient city of Jiangnan, the tennis boom ignited Huzhou!

From April 21st to 26th, the 2025 China Tennis Tour CTA1000 Huzhou Open Tennis Tournament will be held in Huzhou, the gentle ancient city of Jiangnan. This tournament attracted more than 100 high-level tennis players from all over the country, including Li Zhe, Liu Fangzhou, Wang Aoran and many other Chinese tennis stars, who will show their outstanding demeanor on the Huzhou court and bring a climactic tennis feast to the local audience.

For those who are not familiar with tennis, you may be a little unfamiliar with the China Tennis Tour. Founded in 2020, the China Tennis Tour is a national-level tennis tournament IP hosted by the Chinese Tennis Association with local independent intellectual property rights, shouldering the historical mission of cultivating Chinese professional tennis players and promoting the development of China's tennis industrialization. The China Tennis Tour is divided into CTA1000 and CTA800 for professional and professional players, and CTA500 and CTA200 for the general public, and the Huzhou Open is the highest-level CTA1000 among them.

2025 is the final year of the 14th Five-Year Plan, and it is also a key year for the construction of a sports power. On a bright April day, everything is thriving, and the China Tennis Tour is celebrating its sixth year in the beautiful Huzhou, sounding the "first horn" of the 2025 season. After 5 years of cultivation and polishing, relying on the technical level of Chinese tennis and the national point ranking system, the China Tennis Tour is gradually opening up the career promotion path of national tennis players, characterized by systematic promotion, multi-regional coverage and large-scale participation, exploring a path for the IP building and industrial development of China's local tennis events, nurturing the foundation of the development of China's tennis industry, and has gradually grown into a high-quality high-end tour event in China, which can be said to be following the Chinese Super League and CBA. China's third existing top professional league IP.

In the years when it was inconvenient for Chinese players to participate abroad, the China Tennis Tour became the most important training ground for domestic tennis players, providing a valuable competitive stage for everyone and witnessing the inheritance and continuation of Chinese tennis from generation to generation. Young stars such as Buyun Chaoket, Wei Sijia, and Zhou Yi have been honed and tempered by the China Tennis Tour, and have gradually moved towards a broader world arena. Now Buyun Chaoket has firmly ranked in the top 100 of men's tennis, becoming the fourth Chinese mainland male player to rank in the top 100 after Zhang Zhizhen, Shang Juncheng and Wu Yiyun. Wei Sijia is also firmly established in women's tennis, having passed three qualifying rounds at this year's Australian Open, reaching the main draw of a Grand Slam for the first time and closing in the top 100 in the world rankings.

In the past five years, the China Tennis Tour has held a total of 68 tournaments, attracting 18,425 players from 12 countries and regions, with a total prize fund of 38 million yuan. Coming to its sixth year, it is of great significance for the China Tennis Tour to choose Huzhou as the starting city of this season, not only because of the strong tennis atmosphere and rich experience in organizing tournaments, but also because of the "fanciing" of Huzhou International Clay Tennis Center. The tennis center has 14 clay courts built according to the standards of Roland Garros in France, 4 high-standard acrylic hard courts, a 5,000-seat center court, and a 2,000-seat auxiliary court, with a total construction area of about 50,000 square meters, making it the largest clay tennis center in China and the largest in Asia.

This tournament is the first tennis tournament ushered in after the completion of the Huzhou International Clay Tennis Center. Huzhou, which is famous for its scenery in the south of the Yangtze River, is making every effort to build a "famous clay tennis city in China" through the Huzhou International Clay Tennis Center, a large sports venue, showing an open and confident development posture, spreading urban culture to the whole country and the world, and shaking hands with the world with the help of sports.

By linking host cities, the China Tennis Tour has built a tennis exchange platform that has attracted the attention of tennis enthusiasts across the country, and has become an effective stage for the linkage promotion of "sports + tourism" in each host city. As a "new member" of the China Tennis Tour family, Huzhou is eager to launch the city tennis brand, and develop into a representative stop of the China Tennis Tour in the future, forming a new window to display Huzhou's development and construction achievements, promote the city's brand, and enhance the city's vitality and reputation.

Next week, let's set our sights on Wuxing, Huzhou, this "heat wave" of tennis will be surging in the city! Huzhou sports fans will have the opportunity to enjoy the national tennis event at their doorstep and witness the exquisite skills of high-level athletes, and we also look forward to athletes and fans from all over the country to taste the authentic Huzhou style and feel the strong historical and cultural connotation of Huzhou after the competition.
