Musetti held the match point 7-5, 5-4 (40-30) when the match was halted by rain and resumed nearly three hours later, when he cashed in a forehand winner to seal the victory. Musetti's opponent in the quarter-finals was second seed Zverev, who eliminated France's Gophis 7-6(3)/6-1.
