Italian coach Stefano Lavarini highly values the Vietnamese women's volleyball team.
After the opening match against Poland at the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship, despite a 1-3 loss, the Vietnamese women's team made a strong impression on Poland’s head coach, Stefano Lavarini. The Italian coach admitted being surprised by Vietnam’s approach, especially their 25-23 win in the first set, and praised the Vietnamese players for challenging the world’s third-ranked team.
"From what I have studied about Vietnam, player number 3 (Trần Thị Thanh Thúy) and number 25 (Trần Thị Bích Thủy) consistently deliver stable performances. In today’s match against Vietnam, especially in the first two sets, I saw player number 16 (Vi Thị Như Quỳnh) play very well," said Stefano Lavarini, head coach of the Polish women's volleyball team.
