With the home court advantage and balanced performance across all positions, Thailand consistently controlled the game against Sweden – a team overly reliant on star player Isabelle Haak. Set 2: Thailand 25-20 Sweden

Setter Pornpun Guedpard was truly the key differentiator for Thailand compared to Sweden. Pornpun’s deceptive sets effectively enabled most of the home team’s attacks to convert into points. Meanwhile, Sweden struggled defensively, continuing to depend heavily on Isabelle Haak, a strategy that clearly failed to make a significant impact for the European side.

Sweden fought hard, narrowing the gap to 20 points, but that was still insufficient. Thailand maintained an impressive win in the second set and was very close to securing the overall victory.

Set 3: Thailand 25-22 Sweden

Similar to the previous two sets, Thailand took the lead from the very first points and kept this advantage throughout the set with flexible and fast plays. Sweden made commendable efforts to reduce the deficit to just 2 points near the end, but it was not enough to create an upset.

Final result, Thailand defeated Sweden 3-0 (25-18; 25-20; 25-22) to earn a place in the round of 16 at this year's Women's Volleyball World Championship.
