Trần Thị Thanh Thúy's display against the German national team attracted attention from many international volleyball websites.
Although the Vietnamese women's volleyball team could not advance in the 2025 World Championship after a 0-3 defeat to Germany, captain Trần Thị Thanh Thúy still stood out, confirming her international level. Her performance against Germany proved that Thanh Thúy remains capable of shouldering the offensive responsibilities of Vietnam's women's volleyball team.

The site 163 from China wrote: "For the Vietnamese women's volleyball team, the main highlight was captain Trần Thị Thanh Thúy, who scored 17 points from 17/35 attacks. However, lack of support from teammates meant her efforts were insufficient to change the match's outcome. The second highest scorer Hoàng Thị Kiều Trinh only scored 6 points, with minimal contributions from others. Additionally, 11-19 points lost due to personal errors caused Vietnam to miss chances to catch up."
Meanwhile, Turkey's volleyball site Voleybol Gunlugu compared Thanh Thúy with German player Camilla Weitze. While Thanh Thúy scored 17 points, Camilla Weitze scored 11 points, including 2 blocks.
Brazil's volleyball site QG do Volei wrote: "The German women's volleyball team defeated Vietnam 3-0 (25-18, 25-17, 25-21) at the World Championship in Thailand. Similar to the previous match, although Germany won decisively, the top scorer of the game was from the opposing team. Trần Thị Thanh Thúy scored a total of 17 points."
