On the afternoon of August 28th, the whole team will return to Vietnam following the completion of their participation in the 2025 Women's Volleyball World Championship.
This afternoon, August 28th, members of the Vietnam women's volleyball team are departing for home after finishing their campaign at the 2025 World Championship. The team will travel from Phuket to Bangkok for a layover before flying back to Vietnam.
This marks the first time in history that we have secured a spot in the most prestigious volleyball event worldwide. The 32 teams competing are all elite representatives, ready to deliver top-level matches for the fans.
Although the Vietnam women's volleyball team did not earn any points, they left a strong impression on the international community. The biggest surprise came during the match against Poland, the world’s third-ranked team, when we won the opening set. This was a firm assertion that being on such a grand stage as the World Championship is not by luck but through relentless effort.
After the World Championship, Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt and his squad will temporarily wrap up their first training phase of the year. According to the plan, the team will regroup at the end of October to fully prepare for the 33rd SEA Games held in Thailand this December.
The coaching staff emphasized that this is a pivotal period to refine the team's playing style, aiming to win the gold medal at SEA Games 33, a tournament where Vietnam women’s volleyball holds high hopes after significant progress over the past two years.
Additionally, identifying a player capable of taking over the opposite hitter position from Bích Tuyền is considered an urgent task, as the team’s offensive strength heavily relies on key attackers.
