Vietnamese volleyball star standing 1.9m tall and the team of players showing off their charm in China

The stars of the Binh Chủng Thông Tin volleyball team drew attention by releasing a series of photos taken during their training camp in China.

The Binh Chủng Thông Tin – Binh đoàn 19 club is training in China to prepare for the second phase of the 2025 National Volleyball Championship. Besides training and matches, the young and beautiful athletes of the soldier team such as Kiều Trinh, Nguyễn Thị Phương, Phạm Quỳnh Hương, Lâm Oanh, Phạm Thị Hiền, Nguyệt Anh... took the chance to capture many moments showcasing their beauty on the streets of China, attracting fans' attention.

Opposite hitter Phạm Quỳnh Hương is only 17 years old but nearly 1.9 meters tall

Among them, Phạm Quỳnh Hương – a 17-year-old opposite hitter standing almost 1.9m tall – shines with an impressive record of three youth championships in 2025 and individual awards, expected to succeed senior player Trần Thị Thanh Thúy. In the final of the 2025 Youth Volleyball Club Cup on September 9, she was the standout player who helped Thông Tin make a remarkable comeback, defeating Hóa Chất Đức Giang 3-2 after trailing 0-2. With powerful attacks and strong nerves in the fifth set, Quỳnh Hương led her team to a 15-11 victory, completing a historic "triple crown" including the national youth championship, the U23 national championship, and the Club Cup all within the same year.

At the 2025 U21 World Championship, Quỳnh Hương gained recognition as the top scorer for Vietnam’s U21 team with 62 points. In the 2025 Youth Volleyball Club Cup, she was awarded the Best Attacker. Earlier, she was also honored as the Best Attacker at the 2025 National Youth Volleyball Championship.

Coach Nguyễn Tuấn Kiệt in 2024 also highly praised Quỳnh Hương: "It has been a long time since Vietnamese women's volleyball had such a promising player with height and strength like Quỳnh Hương. However, both the club and national team need to provide specialized investment for her. Specifically, although she has strength, Hương lacks agility. Therefore, without focused development, it will be difficult for her to reach Thanh Thúy’s level."
