The Bien Phong men's volleyball team stated that foreign player Jakkrit Thanomnoi will keep playing in the second stage of the 2025 National Championship.
The Bien Phong men's volleyball team announced that foreign player Jakkrit Thanomnoi will participate in the second phase of the 2025 National Championship, held in Ninh Binh from October 7 to 16. This is considered a crucial addition to help the team maintain its strength in the race for a semifinal spot.
The coaching staff of Bien Phong confirmed that Jakkrit is a familiar face who has been with the team since 2024 and quickly adapted to their playing style. Standing 1.89 meters tall with an attacking jump reach of 3.30 meters, the young Thai outside hitter has frequently represented the Thai national team and is regarded as a powerful and efficient wing spiker.
In the first phase of the 2025 National Championship, Jakkrit played a key role in helping Bien Phong secure five victories, temporarily placing second in the standings. Afterwards, the team made a mark by winning the 2025 Hung Vuong Cup with an impressive performance. Jakkrit’s return in phase two further strengthens the ambitions of coach Tran Dinh Tien and his squad to advance far.
According to the schedule, Bien Phong has two remaining group matches against Ho Chi Minh City Police and the host team Ninh Binh. Both are top-tier opponents with several quality foreign players. Therefore, the coaching team considers retaining Jakkrit a suitable choice to maintain team balance.
“We approach each match cautiously because the competition in phase two is very intense, and many teams have strengthened their squads with experienced foreign players,” emphasized coach Tran Dinh Tien.
It is expected that Bien Phong’s lineup will remain largely unchanged from round one, consisting of 14 players: Dinh Van Duy, Tran Van Nam, Pham Van Hiep, Hoang Duc Duy, Tran Duy Tuyen, Nguyen Duc Hoang, Vu Anh Tuan, Dao Duy Thanh, Nguyen Ngoc Thuan, Truong The Khai, Tran Minh Duc, Bui Huu Dat, Nguyen Van Sang, Truong Huynh Phap, and Jakkrit Thanomnoi.
