Experts predict that the second stage of the 2025 National Men's Volleyball Championship will be the most intense competition seen in many years.
This excitement stems from the fact that all eight participating teams—Bien Phong MB, Sanest Khanh Hoa, The Cong Tan Cang, Ninh Binh, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City Police, Hanoi, and Tay Ninh—have all simultaneously reinforced their squads with foreign players, promising thrilling matchups.
The most notable move is by the Hanoi men's team. After years of waiting, the capital team has boldly signed a foreign player for phase two for the first time. Outside hitter Kuon Mom (Cambodia) has officially joined and is training in Ninh Binh with his teammates. Despite budget limitations, Hanoi’s investment demonstrates strong resolve to avoid relegation and brings a fresh new look to the team.
The Ho Chi Minh City Police men's volleyball team has re-signed quality foreign player Michal Kubiak (Poland) for the second phase of the 2025 National Championship.
While Hanoi aims to remain in the top league, Ho Chi Minh City Police targets a higher goal—to become the national champion. They re-signed the skilled foreign player Michal Kubiak (Poland), who became the team’s core during phase one, helping secure five consecutive wins and the top position in the rankings.
Head coach Duong Tan Vinh stated that the management is still considering adding a second foreign player before the opening day to maximize the team’s strength. "We hope the entire team maintains the spirit from phase one to continue achieving strong results," he said.
Meanwhile, other teams have finalized their foreign players and started assembling their squads. The Cong Tan Cang has Rivan Nurmulki, Bien Phong MB retains Thai hitter Jakkrit Thanomnoi, and Tay Ninh has Anurak Phanram. All three athletes are from Southeast Asia.
