The 2025 Men's Volleyball World Championship is held in Pasay and Quezon cities, Philippines, from 12/9 to 28/9, featuring top national teams divided into 8 groups as follows:
Group A: Philippines (host), Iran, Egypt, Tunisia
Group B: Poland (defending runner-up), Netherlands, Qatar, Romania
Group C: France, Argentina, Finland, South Korea
Group D: USA, Cuba, Portugal, Colombia
Group E: Slovenia, Germany, Bulgaria, Chile
Group F: Italy (defending champion), Belgium, Ukraine, Algeria
Group G: Japan, Canada, Turkey, Libya
Group H: Brazil, Czech Republic, Serbia, China
Teams play a single round-robin scoring system (3 points for 3-0 or 3-1 wins, 2 points for 3-2 wins, 1 point for 2-3 losses). The top two teams from each group advance to the round of 16 knockout stage to determine the champion. Italy is the current World Champion after defeating Poland three years ago.
